The ceiling sculpture was commissioned by Turnstone Estates to be incorporated into the building. The embedded artwork is an interactive light sculpture. It is made of strengthened glass with fibre optic lighting. An image from deep space of the ’Veil Nebula’ has been used to create a work that connects the viewer with the real universe. The artist took initial inspiration from Chelmsford Borough Council’s commitment to make the site part of a designated ’air quality management area’ and is based on ideas on exploring ’space’ - looking upward and outward in a manner that is free of limitation.
